SPECTATOR TIPS
Cross country is one of the best sports to watch in person. Arrive at least 30 minutes before the first race, and walk part of the course so you know where to stand. The 1-mile mark, a mid-race hill, and the finish chute are usually the best spots. If you move between two or three viewing points, you’ll see the runners four or five times. Bring a chair, water, sunscreen, and cash, since some venues charge for parking or admission. Please stay off the racing surface, and cheer for every runner.
